Super ArtFight 3 Turbo - Saturday!
The mayhem returns to the Ottobar on December 20 with Super ArtFight 3 Turbo, and I'm back on the fight card in a four-way survival match versus The Wheel of Death! Sharing the canvas with me in that segment are Nick Borkowicz, Michael Bracco and Jamie Baldwin. Garth will be in the main event challenging Jami Noguchi for the ArtFight championship belt!
The Ottbar. December 20. Be there!
And what, pray tell, is Super ArtFight?
And a pleasant 2008 to you all...
Surprise, surprise: I decided to change my section of the rant. :) As one of our friends pointed out at Rising Star this past year, the hell listed here was about the stalest hell around.
I can't say that I'm too sad to see the back-end of 2007; around October, things got rather bad for me personally and just kept going bad, culminating in the loss of my laptop. (No, I didn't physically lose it, but the strip where Tanya's computer gets fried is painfully autobiographical.) The strips since then have been written on my work machine, but I do miss having the laptop right there with me.
2008... hard to say what's really in store for us or the FG gang. We've got threads to tie up and new characters to round out. We're hoping to be a little more active out in the webcomic world and, if nothing else, produce at least one damn podcast this year. Our first two conventions this year are Marscon in VA Beach and Katsucon in DC, so we hope to see folks there. I'd also like to start running a small review section for genre webcomics with the first choice being horror; if you have a strip you think we'd all enjoy, please send your suggestions to the e-mail address in the paragraph below.
By the by, we're still looking for people to help us edit the third arc; if you're interested, drop me a line at barb.fischer at gmail.com. We could also use suggestions for who to bug about writing a foreword. I think the only guidelines for that is 1) they should have some knowledge of who we are and 2) they should vaguely like us. Somehow the idea of the book front saying "These guys suck -- if you see them, you should hit them with a large fish!" doesn't send the right message. :D
More as more occurs...
